Travel to the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM), Selangor that was founded in the year 1929 and well-ordered by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as it aims to provide knowledge through the technology generated from the various research held in upholding viable forest management and the ideal use of forest resources to each and every one of us.

Earning the name of a tropical forestry, FRIM has five research divisions, three administrative and finance divisions along with three technical support divisions. At the same time, FRIM also serves as a spot for public to jog, picnic and sightsee the beautiful greenery around with family and friends for some outdoor recreation and nature education activities.

Getting there

By Road – FRIM is located along the Selayang-Kepong Highway 16km northwest of Kuala Lumpur.

By Train – You may take the KTM to Rawang from the KL railway station and exit at Kepong. You can get a taxi to FRIM at the KTM train station in Kepong.

By Bus – The other choice is taking a bus from the Central Market bus stop, directly heading to FRIM.
