Kek Lok Si Temple
Travel to Kek Lok Si Temple, Penang and get to explore one of the most popular temples not only in Penang, but in Malaysia. Located near Air Hitam, this Buddhist temple which is fondly known as Pagoda is very well-known for its flea bazaars that are along the staircase towards the temple. You will be able to find from clothing’s to bags and accessories here.
Some of the stuffs can be indeed expensive (as it’s hiked up by the seller), so remember to bargain to the max specially tourist! One of the tourist attractions at Kek Lok Si besides Lord Buddha and the bazaars is the bronze statue of Kuan Yin – a popular deity in Penang that was accomplished and released to public in the year 2002.
By Bus – You may take Rapid Penang Bus 201, 203, 204, 206, 306 and U502 and get down at one of the most convenient bus stop near Jalan Pasar, at the foothills of the temple. Jalan Pasar is a one-way street, so just walk succeeding the traffic flow until you reach a T-junction. You will see Kek Lok Si on your left side.
