Travel to Kinabalu Park, Sabah – one of the first State Parks in Sabah during 1964 to be gazetted as one of Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Kinabalu Park has more than ,000 orchid species, 5,000 vascular plant species, 621 fern species, 29 Rhododendron species, nine Nepenthes species, and two Rafflesia species.
Not only that, Kinabalu Park which houses more than 326 bird species, 22 montane mammal species, 90 lowland mammal species, 850 butterfly speciesï¼Œ62 toad and frog species makes it one of the famous attractions here along with is close distance to Mount Kinabalu, solitary of the highest mountains in South East Asia standing at 4095.2 metres.
By Taxi – Car rentals can be arranged over major hotels in Kota Kinabalu. The taxis can take a maximum of four passengers. You can negotiate for the taxi to pick you up from Park HQ for your return if you rent the whole taxi.
By Bus – All express and minibuses among Kota Kinabalu and Ranau will pass by this park.
