Matang Wildlife Centre

Travel to Matang Wildlife Centre, Sarawak and explore the 180 hectares of lowland forest which is the centre of all the flora and fauna in one surrounding. Matang Wildlife Centre aims to rehabilitate threatened species, such as Orang Utans that were impounded from the public who have illegally kept them as pets. Besides that, Matang Wildlife Centre also has scenic nature trails, has swimming area, camping sites, waterfalls and enclosures for viewing semi wild animals. Not only that, the centre also caters for researchers from local and international universities as well as nature studies by home-grown schools or groups of attentive adults.

Getting There

By Bus or Taxi – Matang Wildlife Centre is about 30km from Kuching City and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the Centre.
