Muzium Negara was established in the year 1963 – after Malaysia’s independence. Built by the federal government, this new and huge museum was formally initiated by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong III, Tuanku Syed Putra Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Syed Hassan Jamalullail on 31st of August 1963. The museum has a variety of national treasures and artifacts that represent the historical and cultural background of Malaysia. The museum also holds various exhibits and events for the convenience of its visitors.
