Sri Maha Mariamman Temple

Travel to Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, Penang and explore one of the oldest temples in Pennag as it was built on the year 1883. Located near Queen Street, the Arulmigu Sri Mahamariamman Temple is not only famous for its praying spot but as well as its captivating sculptures of gods and goddesses over its main entrance and facade.

The temple has become a place of worship as early as 1801 and became a temple on 1833. Opened daily from 6.30 am – 12.00 noon and 4.30 pm – 9.00 pm, this temple has stood at the same place for more than 200 years.

By taxi or on foot – Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is located in Central Georgetown on Jalan Masjid Kapitan Kling (Lebuh Pitt), in between Lebuh Pasar and Lebuh Chulia.
